Kano Governor Appoints New Board for Pillars FC, Names Ahmed Musa GM, Malikawa Member

By Muzammil Dalha Yola The Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the appointment of a new management board for Kano Pillars Football Club as part of efforts to strengthen the team ahead of the upcoming Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The newly appointed board, which includes 17 members, will be led by Ali Muhammad Umar (Nayara) as Chairman. Other notable members include Salisu Mohammed Kosawa, Yusuf Danladi Andy Cole, and Idris Malikawa Garu, among others. Reigns Soccer Agency Lisbon Sends Condolences to Diogo Jota's Family

"It is with great sadness that I learned of Diogo's passing," Mr. Onipede said. "This is a huge tragedy for the Diogo family and football worldwide. I was shocked and still trying to come to terms with the news. My thoughts are with his wife, children, and the entire family, and I pray that God gives them the strength to bear this loss." The football community in Portugal, where Reigns Soccer Agency is based in Lisbon, is in mourning. "The whole of Portugal is in silence and shock," Mr. Onipede added. Barau FC Arrives in Asaba, Aims for NPFL Promotion

By Muzammil Dalha Yola Barau Football Club of Kano State has touched down in Asaba, Delta State, ahead of the highly anticipated Nigerian National League (NNL) Super Eight 2025 playoffs. The Maliya Boys are eager to secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for the 2025/26 season. According to a statement issued by the club's Media Officer, Ahmad Hamisu Gwale, Barau FC arrived in Asaba on Wednesday with a strong squad of 32 players, accompanied by over 15 officials and the coaching staff. The team is determined to work hard and deliver their best performance in the competition to secure a coveted spot in the NPFL. The NNL Super Eight tournament is set to take place at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State, from July 5 to 12, 2025. Gusau Takes Over As WAFU Zone B President

By Muzammil Dalha Yola Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON), President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has taken office as the new President of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B. The taking-over ceremony took place on Monday 30th June 2025 at the WAFU headquarters in Cocody Rivera 4 area of Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. During the ceremony, Gusau met with staff of the organization, outlining his vision for the future of football in the region. As the new President of WAFU Zone B, Gusau is expected to provide leadership and direction to the organization, working to promote football development and cooperation among member countries. Gusau's elevation to the position comes after the election of Mr. Kurt-Edwin Simeon Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association, into the CAF Executive Committee at the congress in Egypt on March 12, 2025. Kano Lawyers League Kicks Off with Excitement and Anticipation

The league, which is strictly for legal practitioners, promises to be an exciting and competitive tournament that will bring together law firms across Kano. The tournament, which is a 5-7 aside football competition, will feature teams of lawyers battling it out on the pitch for trophies and glory.
