NLO Issues Stern Cease and Desist Order to Clubs Over Unauthorized Private Leagues

COO Dr. Olushola Ogunnowo Warns of Suspension, Expulsion and NFF Disciplinary Action ‎By Muzammil Dalha Yola ‎The Nationwide League One (NLO) has drawn a hard line against the growing trend of private football competitions in Nigeria, issuing a formal Cease and Desist Order to all its affiliated clubs. ‎In a strongly-worded circular signed by its Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Olushola Ogunnowo, and addressed to all NLO clubs through their respective State Football Associations, the league's secretariat declared participation in unauthorized private leagues as "unauthorized, irregular, and a direct violation of the statutes and regulations governing football in Nigeria." ‎The letter, titled “CEASE AND DESIST ORDER – ENGAGEMENT IN UNAUTHORISED PRIVATE LEAGUES” was also extended to all clubs currently participating or intending to participate in any private league within the jurisdiction of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). ‎NLO: Stop Immediately or Face Sanctions ‎The N...
