ADUSTECH Kicks Off 12th Edition Inter-Faculty Sports Competition

The Vice Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Wudil (ADUSTECH), Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, has given the green light for the commencement of the 12th Edition Inter-Faculty Competition Sports, scheduled to run from Wednesday, July 23rd to August 20th, 2025.

In a statement signed by Nura Muhammad, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), it was revealed that this year's inter-faculty games will serve as a test run for the university's new and upgraded facilities, in preparation for hosting the NUGA Preliminary Zone E. The event will also provide an opportunity for the university to select the best players to represent ADUSTECH.

The LOC Chairman extended his gratitude to the Sports Directorate, led by Abubakar Abdussalam Garba, and expressed his appreciation to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, for the priority he always gives to sports in the university. He also urged athletes and students to maintain discipline and promote the university's image throughout the competition.

The participating faculties are:

2. Faculty of Science

3. Faculty of Engineering

4. Faculty of Maths & Computing Science

5. Faculty of Science & Technology Education

6. Faculty of Earth & Environmental Services

The games to be featured include:

1. Football

2. Basketball

3. Volleyball & Beach Volleyball

4. Badminton

5. Tennis

6. Table Tennis

7. Scrabble

8. Chess

9. Athletics

All games will be contested by both male and female teams. Let the games begin!

By Muzammil Dalha Yola The 12th edition of the Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil (ADUSTECH) Inter-Faculties Sports Competition came to a close on Thursday, August 7, 2025, with a thrilling football final between the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Science and Technology Education (FASTE) at the University's football pitch. The match was highly contested, with FASTE emerging victorious, winning 1-0 against the Faculty of Engineering. The Faculty of Science secured the 3rd position in football, showcasing their skills and determination throughout the tournament. The overall winner of the competition was FASTE, which accumulated an impressive 19 gold, 5 silver, and 5 bronze medals, totaling 29 medals.
