Former President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Aminu Maigari, has paid a solidarity visit to the former Chairman of the now-defunct Nigeria Football Association (NFA), Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Galadima, in Kano. Maigari arrived at Galadima's Dandali Fagge residence on Saturday, where he visited the former NFA boss, who is currently recuperating from surgery.
Maigari expressed his happiness at seeing Galadima recovering fast and described him as one of the pillars of Nigerian football and sports. "I feel very happy today; I have seen Galadima, and he is recovering fast," Maigari said. He prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to bless Galadima with good health and also prayed for the speedy recovery of all those facing various medical challenges.
Reacting to the visit, Galadima expressed his appreciation and applauded Maigari for setting aside his tight schedule to pay him a solidarity visit. Galadima noted that the visit showed that football bonds grow beyond playing the game or its politics; it's a family affair. He thanked the football fraternity across Nigeria for their best wishes and was touched by the love showered on him during his hospital stay and recovery.
Galadima also thanked Nigerian government functionaries, traditional rulers, politicians, businessmen, and the general public who visited him at the hospital and at home, as well as those who sent goodwill messages from across the globe.
