Zamfara State Sports Council Dissolves Zamfara United FC Management

The Zamfara State Sports Council has officially dissolved the entire management and technical crew of Zamfara United Football Club with immediate effect. According to an official statement signed by Lawali Musa, Director of Planning, Zamfara State Sports Council, on July 12, 2025, this action is part of a strategic move to restructure and revitalize the club.

The dissolution affects all key positions, including the General Manager, Technical Adviser, coaching staff, and other administrative personnel associated with the club. The Council acknowledges the services rendered by the outgoing officials and expresses appreciation for their contributions to the club. This move is aimed at improving performance, discipline, and transparency within the team’s operations.

A new management structure will be announced soon, as the Council works towards rebuilding Zamfara United into a more competitive and professionally managed team. This development comes as part of the Council's efforts to restore the club's glory and make it a force to be reckoned with in Nigerian football.

The new kick-off date is now set for August 20th, instead of the initially announced August 13th. According to the tournament coordinator, Alhaji Abahurarai Dahiru, the decision to reschedule was made after consultations with stakeholders, who agreed that the recent "End of Bad Government" protests in some parts of the country warranted a postponement.
