Gusau Takes Over As WAFU Zone B President

By Muzammil Dalha Yola Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON), President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has taken office as the new President of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B. The taking-over ceremony took place on Monday 30th June 2025 at the WAFU headquarters in Cocody Rivera 4 area of Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. During the ceremony, Gusau met with staff of the organization, outlining his vision for the future of football in the region. As the new President of WAFU Zone B, Gusau is expected to provide leadership and direction to the organization, working to promote football development and cooperation among member countries. Gusau's elevation to the position comes after the election of Mr. Kurt-Edwin Simeon Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association, into the CAF Executive Committee at the congress in Egypt on March 12, 2025. Kano Lawyers League Kicks Off with Excitement and Anticipation

By Muzammil Dalha Yola The first edition of the Kano Lawyers League is set to take place on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the Aztec Sports Complex, 14 Ibrahim Dabo Road, behind Dangi flyover Kano. The league, which is strictly for legal practitioners, promises to be an exciting and competitive tournament that will bring together law firms across Kano. The tournament, which is a 5-7 aside football competition, will feature teams of lawyers battling it out on the pitch for trophies and glory. The winner will receive a cash prize of ₦200,000, while the runner-up will receive ₦100,000. Other awards include best player, goalkeeper, coach, and team. The league is organized by the Kano Lawyers League Committee, which includes Hon. Umar Garba Shehu Esq, Aminu Usman Muhammad Esq (Igwe Emeritus), Aminu Kawu Muhammad, and Tajuddin Akanbi Abdullahi Esq.
