‎Off Campus A vs Area IV Set for Grand Finale of 6th ADUSTECH Inter-Hostel VC’s Cup

‎All roads will lead to the University Sports Arena on Thursday, July 16, 2026, by 4:00pm as Off Campus A and Area IV hostels battle for glory in the grand finale of the Sixth Edition of the Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Wudil, ADUSTECH, Inter-Hostel Vice Chancellor’s Football Competition.
‎The three-week tournament featured eight hostels drawn from across the university community, and delivered weeks of thrilling, entertaining football from ADUSTECH students. From group stages to the knockout rounds, the competition showcased raw talent, school pride, and the growing sports culture on campus, with fans trooping out daily to cheer their hostels to victory.
‎The tournament is part of the university’s deliberate drive to develop sports and student engagement under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai. Through the office of the Dean, Students Affairs, Professor Muhammad Abdulkadir Dambazau, and the Director of Sports, Abdussalam Abubakar, with his deputies, ADUSTECH now organizes three major sports tournaments annually: Inter-Faculties, Inter-Hostel, and Inter-Staff Union competitions.
‎According to the Director of Sports, the Inter-Hostel competition has become a flagship event that not only discovers young talents but also fosters unity and healthy rivalry among students. “This is a remarkable achievement for the university. In just six editions, we have seen the level of organization, participation, and quality of football improve tremendously,” he said.
‎The grand finale is expected to be a colourful event, to be graced by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, alongside other principal officers of the university, deans, directors, and a large turnout of students and staff. As Off Campus A seeks to claim the coveted trophy against a determined Area IV side, anticipation is high for what promises to be a fitting climax to the 6th ADUSTECH Inter-Hostel VC’s Cup.
