Shehu Jinjiri: A Tactical Genius And Visionary Football Coach

Shehu Jinjiri is a name that is synonymous with football excellence in Nigeria. A young and ambitious coach from Kano State, Jinjiri has made a name for himself in the football world with his impressive credentials and achievements. With a career spanning over two decades, Jinjiri has established himself as a top-notch coach with a passion for developing young talents and promoting football in Nigeria.

Born on April 14, 1979, in Kano State, Jinjiri's educational background is a testament to his dedication to learning and personal development. He attended Rinda Tozo Primary School in Gaya, where he obtained his Primary School Leaving Certificate in 1991. He then proceeded to Zawan Comprehensive Secondary School in Jos, where he obtained his Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) in 1996. Jinjiri furthered his education at Science Secondary School in D/Tofa, Kano State, where he obtained his National Examination Certificate (NECO). He also attended Bayero University Kano, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic in Owo, Ondo State, and Kano State Polytechnic, where he obtained various qualifications, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Policy and Administration, Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing, and National Diploma (ND) in Marketing and Quantity Surveying.

Jinjiri's passion for football led him to pursue various sports-related certifications and courses. He attended the Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology in Wudil, where he obtained a Diploma in Coaching (Football) and Officiating (Assistant Referee) in 2013. He also attended the National Institute for Sports in Lagos, where he obtained a Basic Coaching Certificate in Football in 2014. Additionally, Jinjiri holds a CAF C License, which he obtained in 2016, and now pursuing CAF B License. 

Jinjiri's playing career spanned from 1993 to 2005, during which he played for several teams, including Sky Limit Kano and Jos University Technology Hospital. After retiring from active playing, Jinjiri transitioned into coaching, where he has excelled. He has coached several teams, including Arewa Football Academy in Jos, Gaya Local Government Football Team, FC Hearts Football Academy, Festival Football Team, and Barau U19 FC. Under his tutelage, his teams have won several competitions, including the Gothia Cup in China in 2017.

Jinjiri's achievements in football are impressive. He has developed many players who are now playing in local leagues, Europe, and national teams. He has also participated in national and international competitions in Asia, Europe, and Africa. Jinjiri's coaching philosophy is centered on possession-based football play with a mixture of pressing and high-intensity playing style. He believes that success is the result of good preparation and planning.

NUGA Council Fixes Date for Zone E Preliminaries
