6th Edition of Students Inter Hostel Football VCs Cup at ADUSTECH ‎

‎The Directorate of Sports at Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Wudil (ADUSTECH), under the dynamic leadership of Director Abubakar Abdussalam, is gearing up to host the highly anticipated 6th edition of the Students Inter Hostel Football VCs Cup. The exhilarating tournament is set to kick off on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 4:00 PM in the university’s sports arena, where Off Campus A will face off against Area VI in the opening match.

‎This year’s edition pits eight spirited hostels against each other, divided into two competitive groups. Group A features Off Campus A, Area VI, Area III, and Off Campus B, while Group B includes Area I, Area II, Dangote Hall, and Kano Hall. With the stakes high and pride on the line, the participating teams are eager to showcase their skills and strive for glory.

‎Director Abdussalam expressed his gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, along with the principal officers and Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Muhammad Abdulkadir Dambazau, for their unwavering support of the Directorate. He emphasized the importance of discipline and sportsmanship throughout the tournament, calling on students to respect one another while embracing the spirit of competition. “This cup fosters togetherness and aims to scout talents that will represent our university in future games,” he remarked.

‎This event follows the recently concluded 7th edition of the VCs Unity Cup, which highlighted the roles of camaraderie and collaboration among the university workers unions. The spectacular display of athletic talent saw SSANU leading the medals table with 7 golds, while NASU claimed overall victory in the football final after a resounding 4-0 win over SSANU.

NUGA Council Fixes Date for Zone E Preliminaries

This decision was made during the Council's meeting at ADUSTECH Wudil, attended by representatives from various universities in the zone. According to Abdullahi Datti Abdullahi, Chairman of the LOC Media & Publicity Committee, the Council discussed events, modalities, rules, and regulations, as well as necessary facilities to be provided. Kano Pillars FC Announces Blockbuster Partnership with RFI Hausa

By Muzammil Dalha Yola Kano Pillars Football Club, one of Nigeria's most storied football institutions, is proud to announce a landmark partnership with Radio France Internationale (RFI) Hausa, a leading international news media organization. This is a partnership deal worth N100m, a kit sponsorship deal for one season. Under the deal, the club will receive N45m in cash and a season's worth of jerseys, whereby each player will wear a new set in every game, which will allow him to give it away after matches.
