‎NFF, WAFU B President Gusau Pays Condolence Visit to Late Galadima Family in Kano

‎The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, on Saturday led a high-powered delegation to Kano on a condolence visit over the death of former NFA Chairman, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Galadima, MFR.

‎The elder statesman passed away on Saturday in Kano at the age of 78 after a protracted illness.

‎Speaking during the visit, Gusau described the late Galadima as a “selfless, unique, and astute administrator who is difficult to find in this contemporary era and was widely respected for his integrity and devotion to sports development.”

‎“He sacrificed his life in serving both Kano State and Nigeria in many capacities with discipline, commitment, dedication, integrity and sincerity,” Gusau said. “His loss is not only to the people of Kano but to Nigeria at large.”

‎The NFF president added that Galadima was both a father and teacher to many in the football family. “He guided and advised us always. We tapped from his wealth of knowledge and experience. Just two weeks ago, we visited him at the hospital. We have just heard the sad news of his death. We loved him, but God knows best for taking him at this time when his fatherly advice and guidance are much needed.”

‎Gusau prayed for the repose of the deceased. “I pray to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and admit him into Jannatul Firdausi. May He also grant the family and all of us in the sports industry the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. We pray Almighty Allah provides more of Alhaji Ibrahim Galadimas in this country.”

‎Gusau was accompanied by the Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Alhaji Shehu Dikko, NFF Technical Committee, Sponsorship & Marketing Committee, Kano State FA Chairman, Dr. Shariff Rabiu Ahlan, S. A to the NSC Chairman Alhaji Ahmad Muazu Kawu and former NFA Secretary Alhaji Sani Toro.
