$10,000 Up For Grabs As DAM Foundation Set To Host Northwest Basketball Championship ‎

‎Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha DAM Foundation has earmarked $10,000 for winners of the Northwest Basketball Championship scheduled to hold from April 16 to 19, 2026 in Kano.

‎The prize breakdown shows that in the male category, the winners will go home with $5,000, runners-up $2,000, and third place $1,000.

‎In the female category, the winner will receive $1,500 and the runners-up $500.

‎According to the tournament sponsor, Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha, other consolation prizes are also expected to be awarded during the championship.

‎The tournament, sponsored by the Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha DAM Foundation, will feature both male and female teams competing for honors in what promises to be a landmark sporting event.

‎Participating male teams include Zamfara Shooters, Kebbi Warriors, Sokoto Galaxy, Katsina Desert Warriors, Jigawa Golden Stars, Kaduna Fresh Stars, host state Kano Giants, and NTITII Thunder Basketball Team, all set to showcase their emerging talents on a competitive regional platform.

‎The female teams are Kaduna Haiti Warriors Queen, Kano Bukavu Blinks Queen, Kebbi Equity Angels, and D-Suns Basketball Club.

‎Dr. Mustapha explained that the technical meeting and opening ceremony are expected to hold on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

‎Basketball stakeholders, including the President of the Nigerian Basketball Federation (NBBF), Alhaji Musa Kida, are expected to attend the opening and closing ceremonies.

Kano Pillars FC Announces Blockbuster Partnership with RFI Hausa

This is a partnership deal worth N100m, a kit sponsorship deal for one season. NUGA Council Fixes Date for Zone E Preliminaries

This decision was made during the Council's meeting at ADUSTECH Wudil, attended by representatives from various universities in the zone. According to Abdullahi Datti Abdullahi, Chairman of the LOC Media & Publicity Committee, the Council discussed events, modalities, rules, and regulations, as well as necessary facilities to be provided.
