The End Of An Era, A True Legend Bows Out: Thank You, Ahmed Musa

By Muzammil Dalha Yola

‎As tears well up in our eyes, we bid farewell to a true Super Eagles icon, Captain Ahmed Musa (MON, OON). Your tireless passion, unyielding dedication, and unwavering commitment to Nigerian football have left an indelible mark on our hearts.

‎Your journey with the Super Eagles has been a rollercoaster of emotions, from the highs of African Cup of Nations triumphs to the lows of World Cup heartbreaks. But through it all, you stood tall, a beacon of hope and inspiration to a nation.

‎You we're just a young boy when the journey started. A young player, still learning, and always travelling, but you never complained. Whenever Nigeria called, you showed up, becoming the most capped Super Eagle player with 111 appearances. AFCON champion. Nigeria’s highest World Cup goalscorer. Captain. Servant. Believer.

‎Your goals, your assists, your leadership, they all tell a story of greatness. But it's not just about the numbers; it's about the memories, the moments, the magic you created for us. Who can forget your thunderous strikes, your lightning-fast runs, and your unrelenting passion for the national team? Who can forget your stunning strike against Argentina in the 2018 World Cup? The nation rejoiced, and your name etched in golden letters in Nigerian football history forever.

‎Ahmed Musa, you are more than just a footballer, you are a hero, a role model, philanthropy and a true nigerian legend. Your legacy will continue to inspire generations of Nigerian footballers, and your contributions to Nigerian football will never be forgotten.

‎As you hang up your national team boots, we thank you, Captain Musa, for the memories, the thrills, and the pride you've given us. You may be retiring from international football, but your impact will be felt for years to come. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will live on, inspiring us all to greatness!

‎THANK YOU, CAPTAIN!

‎GRACIAS D' GOVERNOR!!
