Chinese Lady Golfer, Angel Xing Wins the Maiden PSN Ladies Tournament 2025 Held in Kano

Kano based Chinese golfer, Angel Xing Huiyao has emerged  as  the  winner of the maiden edition of the  Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN)  President’s  Cup Golf tournament 2025.

Over 100 ladies  and men  golfers from  across Nigeria last Monday  had competed for laurels at the Kano Club golf section , where the tee took place.

The winners in various categories were handed with trophies, certificates and  decorated with  tournament memorabilia

Reacting to her victory, Angel Xing Huiyao, dedicated the trophy to all the members of Kano club golf section for their support and cooperation.

Angel expressed her readiness to continue to undergo vigorous training sessions to  sustain her present form with the aim to retain  impressive performance in future state and national competitions.

'She said “This milestone not only elevated her to fame,  but also shattered gender barriers in a male dominated sports event, in the state,”.

She appealed saying  “I'm appealing to ladies in the state to come out and  embrace the  game of golf ,  in order to develop and promote the game ,  as well as improve our health status.

“ I just trained for two months  in the golf section,  but I remained focus,  in what I was  doing and thank God for what I have achieved within this period under my coach, Suleiman,'' Angel said.

She applauded  those who had contributed  to her success,  saying their contributions would rub off towards raising  the flag of Kano golf section and would also boost the profile of the state.

It would be recalled that the Kano golf section which was established in 1908, has produced national and international golfer stars  such as Lawan Malam, who played alongside Tiger Wood,  during the British Open Golf tournament in 2002 amongst others.

FASTE Emerges Overall Winner of ADUSTECH 12th Inter-Faculties Sports Competition

Kano Pillars FC Announces Blockbuster Partnership with RFI Hausa
