NUGA Zone E Preliminaries Set to Kick Off in Kano

‎Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) Zone E preliminaries are set to kick off on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Wudil Campus of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Kano. The Local Organizing Committee has concluded arrangements for a successful hosting of the event, according to a statement issued by Chairman of the Sub Committee on Publicity, Abdullahi Datti Abdullahi.

‎Large contingents of athletes from universities in the zone, including Bayero University Kano, Northwest University Kano, Federal University Dutse, Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa, Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University of Nigeria (KHAIRUN), and host ADUSTECH Wudil, are expected to compete in various events. The events include football, beach volleyball, e-sports, hockey, judo, taekwando, chess, karate, athletics, squash, basketball, volleyball, handball, tennis, table tennis, and badminton, among others.

‎The chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, Prof. Abdulkadir Muhammad Danbazau, has assured athletes of a hitch-free and colorful competition, urging them to adhere to rules and regulations. The Vice Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Wudil, Prof. Musa Tukur Yakasai, is scheduled to declare the preliminaries open on Tuesday.

‎The preliminaries are a precursor to the Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) games, which are set to take place in Plateau State early November. The event promises to be an exciting showcase of talent and sportsmanship among Nigerian university students.

‎The host university, ADUSTECH, has a strong sporting tradition and is well-equipped to host the event. With its state-of-the-art facilities and experienced staff, the university is confident of delivering a successful and memorable event.

‎The NUGA Zone E preliminaries are expected to attract large crowds and generate significant interest among sports enthusiasts in Kano and beyond.

FASTE Emerges Overall Winner of ADUSTECH 12th Inter-Faculties Sports Competition

Kano Pillars FC Announces Blockbuster Partnership with RFI Hausa

By Muzammil Dalha Yola Kano Pillars Football Club, one of Nigeria's most storied football institutions, is proud to announce a landmark partnership with Radio France Internationale (RFI) Hausa, a leading international news media organization. This is a partnership deal worth N100m, a kit sponsorship deal for one season.
