‎Chairman's Cup 2025: Thrilling Matches and Surprising Upsets

‎The 2025 Chairman's Cup witnessed an exciting display of skills, drama, and sportsmanship on Wednesday, October 29th, as Commander's Team, KMC, Zone, and Danbatta Teams battled for supremacy in the continuation of the group stage matches held at the FAAN Club Football Arena, Airport Road, Kano.

‎The first match of the day kicked off around 1600hrs between Commander's Team and KMC Team. Commander's Team drew first blood, scoring two goals in the first half, but KMC Team staged a dramatic comeback, leveling up and eventually winning 4-2. In the second match, Zone Team took an early lead, but Danbatta Team put up a good fight, equalizing before eventually losing 5-4.

‎On Thursday, October 30th, MAKIA Team defeated Commander Team 4-2, maintaining their lead with six points. KMC Team secured a 3-1 win over Danbatta Team, adding to their tally. The presence of Deputy Zonal Commander Zone 5 CN Ahmed Ramat and Deputy Zonal Commander Advocacy and Sensitisation CN Ahmad Nasir added color and encouragement to the tournament.

‎The Chairman's Cup 2025 has showcased incredible balance and competitiveness among participating teams. As the competition progresses to the next stage, anticipation is building for the upcoming fixtures. The football matches have promoted unity, discipline, fitness, and teamwork among NDLEA officers across formations.

‎The group stage will conclude on November 5th and 6th, 2025, with the four best teams set to be picked for Semi-finals. With thrilling matches and surprising upsets, the Chairman's Cup 2025 is shaping up to be an unforgettable experience.
