NLO Confirms Promoted Teams From Northern Conference to NNL

Four teams from the Northern Conference have secured their spots in the Nigeria National League for the upcoming season after qualifying from the 2025 Nationwide League One (NLO) playoffs.

The four teams are Mai Kunkele United (Niger State), Kano Ambassadors (Kano State), Warinje FC (Bauchi State) and City FC (FCT). 

The competition was intense at the 2025 NLO Playoff held at the Bwari Centre, where Mai Kunkele United narrowly edged out House of Prayer FA by a two-goal difference. 

Both teams finished on 7 points after three matches, achieving two wins and one draw each. Meanwhile, Zeal Minds FC and Na Royal FC finished at the bottom of the log with 3 points and no points, respectively.

At the Jos Centre, Warinje FC from Bauchi State was the standout team, winning two matches and drawing one in their three matches.

At the Gumel Centre, Kano Ambassadors from Kano State dominated their group, achieving a perfect record by winning all three matches. They scored seven goals while conceding only two, finishing on top of the log with 9 points. JNR Danburan FC, Clever Warriors, and Discovery Academy were unable to match their performance.

Similarly, at the ABS Centre in Kaduna, City FC of Abuja outperformed Vet Rovers FC, CAMPRO FC, and FWC FC to secure the sole ticket from their group.

NUGA Council Fixes Date for Zone E Preliminaries
