Off Campus A1 Clinches 5th Vice Chancellor Cup Title at ADUSTECH

The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH) played host to the thrilling conclusion of the 5th Vice Chancellor Cup football competition on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025. Organized by the University Sports Directorate under the leadership of Director Abubakar Abdussalam, the tournament featured eight students' hostels.

In the highly anticipated final match, Off Campus A1 emerged champions after defeating Area II B1 1-0 at the School football pitch. Area III A2 secured the third-place position.

The prize-giving ceremony was graced by key university officials. Professor Adamu Abdullahi Shehu, Chairman of the Sports Committee, presented bronze medals to Area III A2. Dr. MD Shehu, University Medical Director, awarded silver medals to runners-up Area II B1. The champions, Off Campus A1, received their gold medals and trophy from Vice Chancellor Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai.

In his remarks, Professor Yakasai highlighted the significance of sports in shaping students' minds and preparing them for careers. He also noted that the tournament served as a test run for the university's sporting facilities, ahead of hosting the Preliminary Zone E NUGA games.

The Vice Chancellor expressed gratitude to the university's principals, Sports Directorate, Students Union Government, and the media for their support and collaboration.

The event showcased the university's commitment to fostering talent and excellence in sports.

FASTE Emerges Overall Winner of ADUSTECH 12th Inter-Faculties Sports Competition

By Muzammil Dalha Yola The 12th edition of the Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil (ADUSTECH) Inter-Faculties Sports Competition came to a close on Thursday, August 7, 2025, with a thrilling football final between the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Science and Technology Education (FASTE) at the University's football pitch. The match was highly contested, with FASTE emerging victorious, winning 1-0 against the Faculty of Engineering. The Faculty of Science secured the 3rd position in football, showcasing their skills and determination throughout the tournament. Kano Pillars FC Announces Blockbuster Partnership with RFI Hausa

By Muzammil Dalha Yola Kano Pillars Football Club, one of Nigeria's most storied football institutions, is proud to announce a landmark partnership with Radio France Internationale (RFI) Hausa, a leading international news media organization. This is a partnership deal worth N100m, a kit sponsorship deal for one season. Under the deal, the club will receive N45m in cash and a season's worth of jerseys, whereby each player will wear a new set in every game, which will allow him to give it away after matches.
