"I want to appreciate and commend the recent final between Kano Pillars and Barau FC in the Kano State President’s Federation Cup. It is a great achievement to have two strong clubs competing at this level in Kano," Senator Barau stated.

"My primary focus and concern is to support Barau FC in every necessary way so that they can represent Nigeria in an African tournament. Our goal is to see the club participate in the CAF Confederation Cup this year," he added.

As runners-up in the Kano State President’s Federation Cup, Barau FC will represent the state in this year’s Nigerian PFC.

The draws for the 2025 PFC will take place on Wednesday, March 12, with the Round of 64 set to kick off on March 19.

The winner of the 2025 PFC will automatically secure a CAF Confederation Cup ticket for next year, and Barau FC is hopeful of earning the honor of representing Nigeria in the tournament.
