NDLEA Kano Command and Gongoni Company Ltd. Partner to Combat Drug Abuse

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kano State Command has collaborated with Gongoni Company Limited to launch a sports-based school awareness campaign aimed at combating drug abuse among youths.

Today Wednesday 15th, January, 2025 a delegation from Gongoni Company Limited, led by Marketing Representative Mr. Jacob, visited the NDLEA state commander, Ahmad Idris Abubakar, to solidify the partnership. During the visit, Commander Abubakar expressed his appreciation for Gongoni's efforts and emphasized the importance of collaboration in the fight against drug abuse.

Mr. Jacob reiterated Gongoni's commitment to the partnership and conveyed the company's Managing Director's well wishes and greetings.

The campaign, which kicks off tomorrow, Thursday, January 16, 2025, will feature a series of sports events and awareness programs at three selected schools: FAAN Staff Secondary, Army Day Girls Secondary School, and Rochas Foundation.

This initiative is part of the NDLEA's broader efforts to prevent drug abuse and promote healthy lifestyles among young people. By leveraging sports and education, the agency aims to inspire positive change and empower the next generation of leaders.

FASTE Emerges Overall Winner of ADUSTECH 12th Inter-Faculties Sports Competition

By Muzammil Dalha Yola The 12th edition of the Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil (ADUSTECH) Inter-Faculties Sports Competition came to a close on Thursday, August 7, 2025, with a thrilling football final between the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Science and Technology Education (FASTE) at the University's football pitch. Kano Pillars FC Announces Blockbuster Partnership with RFI Hausa

By Muzammil Dalha Yola Kano Pillars Football Club, one of Nigeria's most storied football institutions, is proud to announce a landmark partnership with Radio France Internationale (RFI) Hausa, a leading international news media organization. This is a partnership deal worth N100m, a kit sponsorship deal for one season.
