SWAN Felicitates Abdulgafar Oladimeji On International Arbitration Council Membership

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Kano State Chapter has congratulated its former scribe, Abdulgafar Oladimeji, on his recent induction as a member of the prestigious International Arbitration Council.

In a felicitation letter signed by the Chairman Zaharaddeen Sale, SWAN Kano praised Abdulgafar's exceptional expertise and dedication to sports journalism and arbitration. His membership was confirmed by the International Arbitration Council's headquarters in the Netherlands on November 1, 2024.

As a well-traveled sports journalist, Abdulgafar boasts an impressive portfolio, including media accreditations from FIFA, UEFA, CAF, Concacaf and AFC. He is also a trained football scout with qualifications in journalism, law and philosophy.

Abdulgafar's experience extends to serving on various mediation committees and fact-finding panels at national, zonal and state levels. His new role will involve handling trade, commercial disputes, media and technology functions.

SWAN Kano described Abdulgafar's achievement as a "well-deserved honor" and wished him divine guidance in his new endeavour.

The association's chairman said, "Abdulgafar's induction is a testament to his hard work and dedication. We are proud to have him as one of our own, and we celebrate his success."

Abdulgafar's membership in the International Arbitration Council is expected to elevate the profile of Nigerian sports journalism globally.

FASTE Emerges Overall Winner of ADUSTECH 12th Inter-Faculties Sports Competition

By Muzammil Dalha Yola The 12th edition of the Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil (ADUSTECH) Inter-Faculties Sports Competition came to a close on Thursday, August 7, 2025, with a thrilling football final between the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Science and Technology Education (FASTE) at the University's football pitch. Kano Pillars FC Announces Blockbuster Partnership with RFI Hausa

By Muzammil Dalha Yola Kano Pillars Football Club, one of Nigeria's most storied football institutions, is proud to announce a landmark partnership with Radio France Internationale (RFI) Hausa, a leading international news media organization. This is a partnership deal worth N100m, a kit sponsorship deal for one season.
