Home at Last: Kano Pillars Chairman Urges Fans to Rally Behind the Team

... Ali Nayara Calls on Fans to Unite as Team's Home Return Gets NPFL's Green Light...

By Muzammil Dalha Yola

Chairman of Kano Pillars Football Club, Ali Muhammad Umar (Nayara), has made a passionate appeal to fans of the Masu Gida to demonstrate their characteristic enthusiasm and discipline as the team prepares to return to their home ground, Sani Abacha Stadium, for their match day 12 encounter against Heartland FC of Owerri.

Nayara's plea came during the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) inspection team's visit to the renovated Sani Abacha Stadium on Wednesday. The chairman expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Kano State Governor, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, and Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, for their swift response to the stadium's renovation and consistent financial support.

"We are deeply indebted to Governor Yusuf and Commissioner Kwankwaso for their unwavering commitment to our great club," Nayara said. "Their support has been instrumental in our progress, and we appreciate their dedication to Kano Pillars FC."

Nayara also commended the fans for their unrelenting backing, urging them to continue their steadfast support. "Our fans are the lifeblood of this club, and we rely on their energy and passion to drive us forward. We need them now more than ever as we return to our home ground."

The chairman praised the technical crew, led by Coach Usman Abdallah, and the players for their resilience and dedication despite playing home matches at Muhammad Dikko Stadium in Katsina State. Currently sitting 5th in the NPFL log, Kano Pillars FC has shown remarkable determination in the face of adversity.

"We are proud of our team's performance, and we thank the technical crew and players for their hard work," Nayara said. "We also extend our appreciation to the Katsina State Football Association and the people of Katsina for accommodating us during our temporary relocation."

As Kano Pillars FC prepares to return to Sani Abacha Stadium, Nayara's appeal to fans is clear: "Let us come together, demonstrate our passion, and support our team. Let's accept any outcome, win or lose. Our away wins don't guarantee home victories." Just as we've won matches in other stadiums, we must also be prepared to potentially lose at home."  Together, we can achieve greatness."

The match against Heartland FC is scheduled for sunday 17th November 2024. Fans are encouraged to fill the stadium and rally behind their beloved Masu Gida.
