Kano Pillars to Return Home As Sani Abacha Stadium Nears Completion

In an exciting development for football fans in Kano State, Honourable Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, the Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, announced that the renovation of the Sani Abacha Stadium is almost complete. During a press briefing on Friday, October 25, 2024, Kwankwaso revealed that approximately 85% of the renovation work has been finished.

This news means that Kano Pillars FC, the state's beloved team, will soon return to their home stadium after temporarily playing at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium in Katsina for the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League Season. Fans are eagerly anticipating the team's homecoming, which could happen as early as their next match day 10 against Plateau United.
