The Kano State government has suspended all sporting activities at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano to facilitate the renovation and upgrading of the stadium's facilities.
According to Malam Bala Sani, Acting Chairman of the Sports Commission, the renovation work has already commenced and includes the upgrading of the stadium's pitch, media zone, and dressing rooms for players and match officials.
In a phone chat with SportsZone, Malam Bala Sani revealed that the renovation is part of the Kano State government's efforts to develop sports facilities in the state, aimed at boosting the morale of Kano Pillars FC and the teeming youth of Kano.
The renovation project is expected to be completed within three weeks, according to Malam Bala Sani.
This development is seen as a positive step towards enhancing the sporting infrastructure in Kano State and providing a conducive environment for sports development.
