In a significant development, Wikki Tourists FC has unveiled experienced Nigerian football coach, Abdullahi Maikaba, as its new Technical Adviser. This appointment marks a return to the club for Maikaba, who previously worked with Wikki Tourists FC and played a crucial role in developing young talents.
Coach Maikaba expressed his gratitude to the club, stating, "Wikki Tourists FC gave me a solid platform to be where I am today. I started a solid project with Wikki Tourists of Bauchi, and I am here to finish the project." He emphasized his commitment to completing the project he initiated during his previous stint with the club.
Engr Auwal Musa Gotel, Chairman of Wikki Tourists FC, expressed his delight at Coach Maikaba's return, particularly during this challenging period when the team is playing in the lower league, NNL. The club's short-term plan is to return to the elite league, NPFL, and subsequently secure a continental spot or ticket. The medium-term plan focuses on developing young talented players from Bauchi.
