In a pulsating match on sunday 28th July 2024 at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano Centre, Shield City FC came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Matasa FC in the NLO U-19 Youth League.

Matasa FC took the lead in the 20th minute, and their solid defense seemed impenetrable for the entire 90 minutes. However, Shield City FC's persistence paid off in the dying moments of the game, as Abdulrahman Bashir equalized with a header from Isa Gambo's cross from the left flank in the 95th minute.
