Shield City FC Maintans Top Spot With 1-0 Win Over Rijiyar Zaki United

Shield City FC continued their dominance in the NLO U-19 Youth League with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Rijiyar Zaki United on saturday, 27th July 2024 at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano Centre.

The only goal of the match was scored by Abubakar Isah Pillow in the 64th minute, courtesy of a header from Kabiru Isah's cross from the right flank. The goal proved to be the decider, as Shield City FC held on to secure the win.

With this victory, Shield City FC maintains their top spot in the group with 12 points from 4 games. They are now looking forward to their last two matches of the group stage against Matasa FC and Dantata FC.

The win was a testament to Shield City FC's determination and teamwork, as they battled hard to secure the three points. The team's CEO Mrs Laura Sharpe praised the players for their efforts, saying, "I'm proud of the boys for their hard work and dedication. We're looking forward to the next matches and hoping to continue our winning streak."

Shield City FC's dominance in the group stage has set them up as strong contenders for the NLO U-19 Youth League title. Their upcoming matches against Matasa FC and Dantata FC will be crucial in determining their progress to the next stage of the competition.
