Military and Para-Military Teams Clash in 2nd Edition of Services 2024 Games

The 2nd Edition of the Military and Para-Military Games (Services 2024) kicked off on July 21, 2024, at the Sani Abacha Stadium Kano, with Karota FC 1 facing off against Nigeria Airforce 2 in the opening match.

According to a press statement signed by Abdurrahman Sani Zango, Head of Planning Research and Documentation at the Kano State Sports Commission, the games will feature various military and para-military teams competing in different events.

On Day 2 of the competition, July 24, 2024, three matches are scheduled to take place. Nigeria Correctional Service will face Kano State Fire Service at the Airforce Barrack in Kano at 2 pm, while Nigeria Custom Service will take on Hisbah Kano at the same venue at 4 pm. Nigeria Police Kano Command will also face Nigeria Civil Defence at the Kano Pillars Stadium in Sabon Gari at 4 pm.

However, the match between Kano Anti-Corruption and EFCC has been rescheduled due to Kano Anti-Corruption's semi-final match at the Ahmad Musa Sports Complex on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

The tournament will run from July 21 to August 9, 2024, with the opening/first round matches taking place from July 21 to August 3, 2024, followed by the second round on August 5, 2024, semi-finals on August 7, 2024, and the final match on August 9, 2024.

NUGA Council Fixes Date for Zone E Preliminaries
