Katsina United FC Refutes FIFA Ban Report, Cites Inaccuracies and Misrepresentations

Katsina United FC has issued a strong rebuttal to an article published on July 9, 2024, by Peter Noah KC, titled "FIFA Bans Katsina United, 20 Other Clubs from Players Registration." The club's media officer, Nasir Gide, signed the statement.

The club denies receiving any official communication from FIFA regarding a ban and claims the purported letter was sent to a former management team member. The current management has validated the matter and is working to resolve outstanding issues inherited from the previous administration.

The statement also addresses two other inaccuracies:

- The club follows strict contractual and legal requirements for contractual decisions, which are formally communicated in writing.

- Player transfers and contract terminations are standard practices, conducted with transparency and due process.

Katsina United demands a retraction and public apology, warning of legal action if false claims continue. The club urges the publication to adhere to journalistic ethics and verify information before publication.
