Four Nigerian Referees Officiate Beach Soccer Afcon Qualifier in Senegal

 Four Nigerian FIFA-badged referees in the Beach Soccer category have been appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to officiate the second leg of the Beach Soccer Afcon Qualifier between Senegal and Guinea in Senegal next week.

Led by Jelili Ogunmuyiwa of Lagos, a senior Army officer, the team includes Brig. Gen. Olawale Fawole of the Kaduna State Council, Olayinka Olajide of Lagos, and Ahmad Rabiu of the Kano State Council. Jelili will serve as the referee, while Fawole and Olayinka will officiate as Referee 2 and Referee 3, respectively. Rabiu will act as the fourth official.

The match is scheduled to take place between July 25-28, 2024, in Senegal. This appointment is a testament to the expertise and reputation of Nigerian referees in the Beach Soccer category.

The Beach Soccer Afcon Qualifier is a crucial tournament that determines the teams that will participate in the African Cup of Nations, and the Nigerian referees are expected to bring their expertise to ensure a fair and exciting match.

This development is a proud moment for Nigerian football, and the referees are expected to fly the country's flag high in Senegal.
