Clubs like Rangers International FC and Enyimba FC, Rivers Utd and Remo Stars led by experienced football professionals, have:

- Enhanced player development

- Increased fan engagement

- Attracted sponsors

- Implemented transparent management

In contrast, government-run clubs, plagued by political interference and mismanagement, face:

- Poor team performance

- Neglected player development

- Low fan turnout

- Financial mismanagement

- Lack of transparency

Experts urge state governments to appoint technocrats and professionals with vast knowledge to manage clubs, ensuring a brighter future for Nigerian football. While government clubs have an advantage in building a system, league board regulation is crucial to ensure fairness and competitiveness.

NUGA Council Fixes Date for Zone E Preliminaries

This decision was made during the Council's meeting at ADUSTECH Wudil, attended by representatives from various universities in the zone. According to Abdullahi Datti Abdullahi, Chairman of the LOC Media & Publicity Committee, the Council discussed events, modalities, rules, and regulations, as well as necessary facilities to be provided. Prof. Abdulkadir Muhammad Danbazau, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, expressed ADUSTECH's readiness to host the competition successfully. Organizers have confirmed that all arrangements are in place for a successful tournament, with all eight participating clubs reaffirming their commitment to the event. According to Ifeanyi Ogbu, Managing Director of Ski-Hi Entertainment, "We still have the eight teams that have confirmed participation. We have not changed or substituted any team."
