Barau Football Club has announced the signing of six new players, including three foreign players from Ghana, ahead of the 2024/2025 Nigerian National League (NNL) season.
According to a statement signed by the Barau FC Media Officer, Ahmad Hamisu Gwale, the new players were unveiled in Kano state on Sunday. The signings include:
- Amoah Foster (forward) from Prampram Uncle T United, Ghana
- Mensah Charles (attacking midfielder) from Bofoakwa Tano, Ghana
- Asempa Prince (goalkeeper) from Karela United FC, Ghana
- Sagau Aliyu (right-back defender) from Yoca Crocodiles on a one-year loan
- Timothy Omale (defensive midfielder) from Ambassadors FC Zaria on a two-year deal
- Ibrahim Lukman (forward) from Yoca Crocodiles on a one-year loan
The new players have expressed their excitement to join Barau FC and promised to give their best performance. The club's chairman, Ibrahim Shitu Chanji, believes the new signings will play a vital role in the team's success.
Barau FC is currently preparing for the new NNL season and will participate in the Gusau/Ahlan Pre-season tournament in Jos, Plateau state, from August 13th to 25th, 2024.
