The Final Push MD 38: NPFL Clubs Battle For Glory, Survival and Continental Spots

The 2023/24 NPFL season is coming to a close on Sunday, with the last fixtures holding across various match centers in the country. The battle for continental tickets and relegation survival is expected to go down to the wire, as four clubs aim for a continental slot and five clubs fight for relegation survival.

Akwa United will face Rivers United in a must-win encounter in Uyo, with the home side needing a win to avoid relegation. Bayelsa United will travel to Benin to face Bendel Insurance, while Doma United will host Abia Warriors in Gombe.

The battle for continental tickets will be intense, with Enyimba hosting Plateau United in Aba. Lobi Stars will travel to Kano to face Kano Pillars, while Remo Stars will welcome Katsina United in Ikenne. Shooting Stars will face Sporting Lagos in a South-west derby in Ibadan, with the Oluyole Warriors aiming for continental tickets and Sporting Lagos fighting for relegation survival.

Newly crowned champions, Rangers Int'l, will travel to New Jos Stadium to face already relegated Gombe United, while Kwara United will welcome Heartland FC in Ilorin. Niger Tornadoes and Sunshine Stars will confront each other in Kaduna, with both teams guaranteed their NPFL status.

The fixtures promise to be exhilarating, scintillating, and excruciating, with drama, intrigue, controversies, sublime goals, fans chanting, bloopers, and referee sanctions expected to be witnessed. The 2023/24 NPFL season has been a thrilling ride, and the last fixtures promise to be a fitting climax to the campaign.

FASTE Emerges Overall Winner of ADUSTECH 12th Inter-Faculties Sports Competition

By Muzammil Dalha Yola The 12th edition of the Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil (ADUSTECH) Inter-Faculties Sports Competition came to a close on Thursday, August 7, 2025, with a thrilling football final between the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Science and Technology Education (FASTE) at the University's football pitch. The match was highly contested, with FASTE emerging victorious, winning 1-0 against the Faculty of Engineering. The Faculty of Science secured the 3rd position in football, showcasing their skills and determination throughout the tournament. Kano Pillars FC Announces Blockbuster Partnership with RFI Hausa

By Muzammil Dalha Yola Kano Pillars Football Club, one of Nigeria's most storied football institutions, is proud to announce a landmark partnership with Radio France Internationale (RFI) Hausa, a leading international news media organization. This is a partnership deal worth N100m, a kit sponsorship deal for one season.
