Deputy President of the Senate Donates New Coaster Bus, Motorcycles to Barau FC Players

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Dr. Barau Jibrin Maliya (CON), has donated a brand-new coaster bus and a motorcycle to each of the players and management of Barau Football Club.

According to a statement signed by Ahmad Hamisu Gwale, Barau FC Media Officer, on Monday, the management and players visited Senator Barau Jibrin at the National Assembly, Abuja, to celebrate the team's promotion to the Nigerian National League (NNL). The visit also served to present the trophy to the club's financier and founder, Barau Jibrin.

Recall that Barau FC defeated Yoca Crocodiles in a penalty shootout (3-2) on Sunday, securing their promotion to NNL

Senator Barau Jibrin expressed his delight and gratitude, stating, "I hope that by next year, we will converge here to celebrate our promotion to the Nigerian Football Premier League, and you will go international. By God's grace, this club will be the pride of all Nigerians." He reiterated his intention to establish the club as a global brand and strengthen it with necessary support.

The Deputy President of the Senate donated a coaster bus, motorcycles to the players, and a N5,000,000 bonus to the management and players. He assured continued support for activities engaging youth and contributing to national development.

Barau FC Chairman, Alhaji Shitu Chanji, thanked Senator Barau Jibrin for his support and assured that the team would strive to gain promotion to the NPFL next year.

Barau Football Club secured promotion to the Nigerian National League (NNL) on Sunday, defeating Yoca Crocodiles from Kaduna State.
