In a thrilling Match Day 33 clash at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano Pillars emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over Doma United. The game was filled with excitement as Mustapha Ibrahim Yuga and Babawo Ibrahim found the back of the net for Pillars in the 14th and 19th minutes respectively. However, Doma United fought back and scored a goal through Musa Usman's impressive direct free kick in the 80th minute.

The highlight of the match came in the 90th minute when Suleiman Idris, a standout player from the Nigerian U-20 national team, sealed the victory for Kano Pillars with a stunning left-footed strike from 25 yards out, assisted by Rabiu Ali. Idris' goal showcased his exceptional skill and talent, making it a strong contender for the best goal of the week in the NPFL23/24 season.

Idris not only delivered a memorable goal but also displayed outstanding performance throughout the game, dominating the midfield with his presence and skill. His remarkable contribution earned him the prestigious SWAN Kano Pop Cola Man of the Match award, recognizing his impact on the field.

With this important win, Kano Pillars now sits in the 9th position on the league table with 47 points. The team is set to face Katsina United in the round of 16 of the President Federation Cup in Jos Plateau State on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, before heading to take on Remo Stars in the NPFL23/24 Match Day 34 on June 2, 2024.

Suleiman Idris' stellar performance and goal-scoring prowess have undoubtedly solidified his position as a key player for Kano Pillars, contributing significantly to the team's success on the field.
