Babangida Abubakar Brace Leads Bichi First FC To 2-0 Win Over Gombe United

‎Bichi First FC secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Gombe United in their NNL match day 6 clash at the FCE Bichi New Site Stadium. The hosts were propelled to victory by a brace from Babangida Abubakar, who was instrumental in securing the three points for his team.

‎The first goal came in the 9th minute, as Abubakar unleashed a thunderbolt strike after a free kick was blocked by the visitors' defender. The goal set the tone for the rest of the game, with Bichi First FC pushing for more goals.

‎The pressure paid off in the 32nd minute, as Abubakar slotted home his second goal, courtesy of a square pass from Yunusa Abubakar. The Nigerian midfielder was unstoppable, and his performance earned him the Man of the Match award.

‎Babangida Abubakar was voted SWAN and Sports light Hub Man of the match for his outstanding performance and contributions. The award was presented by the Club Vice President Alhaji Hassan Atana, who praised the midfielder's skill and dedication.



‎Speaking to the media after the game, Bichi First FC Technical Adviser Abubakar A. Musa expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance. "We're pleased with the performance and the never-say-die attitude of the players," he said.

‎Musa revealed that the team had only had two training sessions since returning from Abuja, but they had come out with a strong performance. "We take every game at a time and the league is a marathon - anything can happen," he said. "We're not relaxing, and we're already looking forward to our next game against Kebbi United on match day 7."

‎The Coach also extended his gratitude to the Club President Hon. Engr. Abubakar Labor (Abba Bichi) for his moral and financial support, which had been a motivation factor for the team. He also thanked the supporters, saying, "To our supporters, we say thank you, be patient and continue supporting us."
