By Muzammil Dalha Yola

Bichi First FC got their Nigerian National League (NNL) campaign off to a flying start with a convincing 3-0 victory over Yobe Desert Warriors at the FCE New Site Stadium, Bichi, on Saturday.

‎The home team controlled the game from the outset, and their dominance was rewarded in the 33rd minute when Adama Samuel converted a penalty kick after Damilola Pedro was fouled in the box. The spot-kick was awarded, and Samuel's effort was clinical, sending the Yobe Desert Warriors goalkeeper the wrong way.

‎The first half ended 1-0 in favor of Bichi First FC, but the second half saw the home team come out firing on all cylinders. They doubled their lead in the 52nd minute through Mustapha Muhammad, who scored from close range.

‎The game was effectively wrapped up in the 64th minute when Pedro Damilola, the sparkling winger, scored with a beautiful finish, making it 3-0.

‎In his post-match interview, Bichi First FC Technical Adviser Abubakar Musa praised his team's performance, saying, "Glory to Almighty God, we must thank him for this result. I also thanked my players for playing according to our instructions. I'm happy with how they executed our game plan because, tactically, Yobe Desert Warriors are a very good team."

‎Musa also emphasized the need for improvement, saying, "Despite the victory, we still have to improve on some certain deficiencies we observed. We will not get carried away with this victory; it's over now, and we prepare for our next game at home against Jigawa Golden Stars."

‎The Technical Adviser also thanked the fans for their support, saying, "It was marvelous and fantastic turning out to support us. We say thank you, our supporters; we need more of that."

‎Bichi First FC's Mustapha Muhammad has been named SWAN Kano Man of the Match, following his outstanding performance in midfield and attack before being substituted.

‎The Vice President of Bichi First FC, Alhaji Hassan Atana, represented the President, Hon. Engr. Abubakar Kabir (Abba Bichi), and expressed the president's happiness with the team's performance. Atana emphasized that the team's target is to reach the highest level, and the president is always ready to support them.

‎The win puts Bichi First FC top of the NNL table of Conference D with 3 points 3 goals, and they will look to build on this momentum in their next match against Jigawa Golden Stars.
