Junior Dan'Buram FC Secures Historic Promotion To NNL

In a thrilling finale, Junior Dan'buram Fc Daura has earned a well-deserved promotion to the Nigeria National League (NNL) after defeating Police Barretta Gombe 3-0 in the NLO New Year Mega Lottery final playoff match at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano on Wednesday, August 14th, 2024.

The Daura-based football club's victory was sealed by Abdulbari Abayi's brace and Jamilu Yusuf Onga's solo goal, securing their spot in the Nigeria second division league for the 2024/25 season.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for Junior Dan'buram FC, making them the next team from Katsina State to participate in the NNL.

Prince Daha Umar Faruq, CEO and President of Danburam FC Daura, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Katsina State FA, players, coaches, and fans for their tireless efforts, resilience, and dedication, which culminated in this remarkable achievement.

He pledged to continue supporting youth development in sports in Katsina State and Nigeria as a whole, solidifying his commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting football excellence.

Gusau/Ahalan 2024 Preseason Cup Kick-Off Date Rescheduled

The new kick-off date is now set for August 20th, instead of the initially announced August 13th. According to the tournament coordinator, Alhaji Abahurarai Dahiru, the decision to reschedule was made after consultations with stakeholders, who agreed that the recent "End of Bad Government" protests in some parts of the country warranted a postponement. The venue for the tournament remains the New Stadium, Zaria Road, Jos, in Plateau State. Sixteen football teams from the NPFL and NNL have confirmed their participation, and are expected to arrive in Jos on August 19th.
